Buderim Mountain reaches 600ft above sea level and is a volcanic plateau. The volcanic soil creates the amazing green and flowering streets and gardens.

Buderim is smack bang in the middle of the Sunshine Coast, with access in under 15 minutes to some of the most famous “mid coast” beaches such as Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland and Maroochydore. Buderim’s two main attractions are the Buderim Forest Waterfalls and the Foot Sanctuary.

The elevation catches the cool sea-breeze making the top cooler than the shore by as much as 5 degrees! The beautiful tree-lined escarpment and close proximity to the ocean, gives Buderim the best of both beach and hinterland environments.

Buderim is rated one of the top 10 best places in Australia to move to if you are contemplating a sea change. Just a short visit and you will see exactly why. It is more of a village than a suburb with a huge heart and community spirit.

Among the spectacular views, lush greenery and clean air is a real community spirit, started by residents that have lived here for decades.

History

Giant Beech and cedar trees grew across the mountain so Buderim was initially used by timbergetters. Once cleared, the Buderim plateau was used for farming – mostly growing banana’s and small crops including coffee and ginger.
